Chapter 65
Ishani stood rooted to her spot, her eyes constantly scanning the crowd, hoping to catch even a glimpse of Ranvijay. Every passing second tightened the knot in her chest. Her breathing became shallow, and her trembling hands instinctively clasped each other, trying to stop the fear that was slowly taking over her. It was the same fear she had once experienced the day Ranvijay had met with the accident. That horrifying day flashed before her eyes. She remembered calling him over and over like a madwoman, praying for him to answer just once. She remembered her brothers, her brothers-in-law, her father, her father-in-law everyone scattering in different directions, desperately searching for him. She remembered collapsing into one of the worst anxiety attacks of her life when no one could find him. And now that same terror was creeping back into her veins, wrapping around her heart like an invisible hand. Her body felt cold despite the lively atmosphere around her, and all she could think was about him.
