Chapter 69
Ranvijay reached Krish's apartment and strode straight toward the storeroom without wasting a second. The moment he pushed the door open, a nauseating stench hit him blood, antiseptic, rotting food, sweat, and dampness clung to the air, making the small room almost impossible to breathe in. But none of it mattered to him. His only thought was Siya. His baby sister needed him, and he would not leave without bringing her home safely. His sharp eyes swept across the dim room until they landed on two figures chained to separate wooden chairs. Reaching for the switch, he flicked on the lone bulb hanging from the ceiling. The sudden light flooded the room, forcing both captives to flinch and squeeze their eyes shut after months of darkness.
